Sunday. So we did.

Sunday was a good day. Sunday was the day of Wichita Chamber Chorale’s Spring Choral Concert. This concert exclusively featured the choral music of Johannes Brahms. Caleb Y. bought season tickets, but because of his work schedule, wasn’t able to attend. He gave the four tickets to me and said, find some people to go with you. I thought to myself, “Hum, this kind of thing doesn’t happen very often. I had better take him up on this!” So I did.
I told Crystal about it as early as Thursday evening. She was interested and said she would like to go along. On Sunday after church, we talked about who else to invite and I thought of Benji and Heidi. We asked them, and they consented.
We busted down to Wichita around 2:45 and got there about five minutes early for a 4 o’clock concert. The church had ok acoustics, the musicians were well trained, and the conductor was really good. The music, however, was very thick and lush, so much that I found it difficult to really get into the music. It was good nevertheless.
The concert ended at 5:20. The Christian Aid Ministries (CAM) presentation began at 7 PM. We really wanted to party instead of attend the CAM presentation. So we did.
Since the day was calm and warm, we asked a lady at a garage sale where the nearest park would be located. She said that the nearest one was about 7 blocks away. We thought, “Great, that’s very close and not out of the way to home.”
The park was small, but well set up and fairly attractive. Benji was along; hence, his camera was along. We shot many pictures. Allow me to share some with you.
One of the features of the day, was Hopscotch.
Yes, it truly is blog material. . .
Towards the end of the fun, we decided to introduce the element of high jump. Need I say how much fun it was? I didn’t think so. . .
On the way home, Benji wanted to stop in at an alley somewhere and shoot some pictures, so we did. It was a fairly clean alley, with a fair amount of random things in it. It made for some interesting pictures.

The sun fell on the east building with warmth. The inspiration hit to shoot a silhouette, so we did.

We headed for Hutch around 7:20, just in time to miss the CAM presentation.
We headed for Metropolitan Coffee since the youth were coming out to Josh and Misty’s house for food and fellowship after the CAM thing. Once again, we had a GOOD TIME!
Yours truly,

Ach my, I think I forgot to give credit where credit is due. Benji or Heidi was responsible for shooting all of the photos (except the one of Benji and the “blog material”
shown in this post. Thanks to Benj for letting me use them!

When I see pics of that alley I have to think of how that man thought our music was sirens.
That music definitely added to the experience! Good Times!!!
